KBackup - Karsten's Backup Package
SYNOPSIS
kbackp [--ttymode]
DESCRIPTION
KBackup is a backup package which provides a simple
to use and extensively configurable interface for making
backups on UNIX platforms.
If uses well established archive handlers like i
tar(1)
or
afio(1)
to provide maximum compatibility. At the same time it extends their
abilities and provides features like encryption ( using
pgp(1)
),
double buffering, compression, etc...
There comes an extensive manual with KBackup, please refer to
it for further information. It should be installed under /usr/doc/KBackup.
SHAREWARE
KBackup is shareware. It is free for private use if you register it by
sending a picture postcard to the author (see below for address). Commercial use requires paying a small
registration fee. Please consult the manual for the exact conditions of use.
KBackup comes
without any warranty
Again, refer to the manual for details.
OPTIONS
- --ttymode

This will start KBacup without using the
dialog(1)
program. Very useful for debugging or systems without
dialog(1)
